The power of pro bono – PILS Project & the Law Society of Northern Ireland

November 4, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Join the PILS Project and the Law Society of Northern Ireland during UK Pro Bono Week as they host a virtual session on the power of pro bono for your CV in times of COVID.

Engaging in pro bono work has lots of potential benefits for legal professionals. Not only does it open you up to new areas of law, it can also enhance your career prospects.

At a time when networking with colleagues and creating learning opportunities are more logistically difficult, recently qualified solicitors and barristers are particularly affected by the impact of COVID-19 on the profession.

This free event is open to all, but will be of particular interest to recently qualified legal professionals and law students.

Chair: Sinead Mulhern – Solicitor
1. Jenny Cunningham, co-chair of the Young Bar NI
3. Nicholas Lennon, Bar of NI’s Pro Bono Unit
4. Dr Esther McGuinness, founder/co-director of Ulster University’s Law Clinic
5. Frederick Reilly Solicitor & Northern Ireland Young Solicitors’ Association Representative
