Advocate Seminar at Twenty Essex

Advocate is the Bar’s national charity, with over 4500 barristers currently signed up to volunteer to work on pro bono cases.

Come and meet two of Advocate’s Caseworkers and find out more about working with Advocate. They will share the impact that undertaking pro bono work has for career development (from second six through to KC) and on the lives of individuals in need of help.

Advocate Caseworkers will be sharing more about who Advocate is and how they make it possible for barristers to take on pro bono work.

Pro bono: Stories of impact (Virtual panel talk) – Southampton Law School Global Law Clinic

To mark Pro Bono Week, the University of Southampton Global Legal Clinic is pleased to host an online panel discussion celebrating the positive impact of pro bono work on individuals and communities.

This event will be of particular interest to members of the legal profession, third-sector organisations, and university law clinics who wish to hear from legal practitioners and students about the ways in which pro bono lawyers transform lives and support organisations in making a difference both locally and globally.

Joining us on the panel will be barrister Helen Moizer from No18 Chambers, barrister Susannah Burley (Junior Pro Bono Barrister of the Year – shortlisted) from 4PB, barrister Charlotte Mallin-Martin (awarded the John Collins Pro Bono Excellence Award) from Guildhall Chambers and students from our clinic.
