Sheffield & District Law Society – Pro Bono Committee Launch

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new Pro Bono Committee within the Sheffield & District Law Society during Pro Bono Week 2024! This committee is dedicated to promoting and expanding pro bono work throughout Sheffield and the surrounding areas, bringing together legal professionals, law schools, and charities to enhance community access to essential legal services.

The Sheffield & District Law Society Pro Bono Committee is also pleased to be collaborating with the Yorkshire Pro Bono Committee, which serves the wider Yorkshire region, to maximise regional impact. This partnership will allow us to work together on initiatives, share resources and strengthen the network of pro bono support throughout Yorkshire, expanding the reach and accessibility of free legal services.

Public Interest Litigation in Northern Ireland is a brand-new research report commissioned by Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS), thanks to support provided by the Community Foundation of Northern Ireland (CFNI). Carried out by Lawmanity, the research maps the public interest litigation landscape in Northern Ireland as it currently stands.
