Legal Clinic 101: Practical Tips When Advising at Legal Clinics – In House Pro Bono Group

Never worked in a legal clinic or feel you could benefit from hearing from some experts in the field? In our first session, we will focus on “Practical Tips when Advising at Legal Clinics“.
The session will be presented by Tim Boyce and Charlotte Rendle from Simmons and Simmons and Joshua Smith, Legal Counsel at Schroders.
- Tim is Head of Simmons’ Contentious Regulatory, Crime and Competition team and regularly volunteers at Bristol Law Centre Disputes Clinic.
- Charlotte is a Supervising Associate in Simmons’ Financial Services Regulatory team and is a regular adviser at Battersea Legal Advice Clinic (run by South West London Law Centre) which covers housing, employment, disputes and commercial queries.
- Joshua Smith is Legal Counsel at Schroders in the Investments team. He has previously volunteered at various legal advice clinics including Battersea, City University, Islington and Bethnal Green.
The session will take place on Monday 2 November at 12.30pm.

The training sessions are not just open to in-house lawyers – we very much welcome and encourage private practice lawyers interested in doing pro bono to attend.
