A Celebration of International Pro Bono – A4ID
November 3, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
As part of National Pro Bono Week, A4ID’s ROLE UK Programme invites you for an evening of celebration that will virtually showcase partnerships and pro bono work undertaken between the UK legal and developmental sector and their counterparts in developing countries.
Speakers will represent a range of organisations, including:
- Evolve – Foundation For International Legal Assistance (EVOLVE-FILA)
- Reprieve
- Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP
- East Africa Law Society (EALS)
- Advocates for International Development (A4ID).
Each of the speakers will deliver a fast-paced and visual PechaKucha© -style presentation about the successes and lessons learned from their international legal and judicial pro bono partnership programmes of work. Through interactive questions and time for networking, the audience will be encouraged to engage with interactive questions and share their ideas with diverse stakeholders on best practices for delivering international pro bono assistance through the pandemic and beyond.
The event ties in with the ROLE UK programme’s long-term aim to help strengthen the rule of law around the world by improving the responsiveness and impact of international pro bono.
